So I use FTB Ultimate v1.1.2 (MC v1.4.7) with all the standard mods installed (nothing added, nothing removed)

FTB is constantly crashing on me. Sometimes it will lag, and then freeze, and other times it will crash when I teleport to a waypoint or enter a portal with my portal gun.

When it lags and freezes, it will pop up with the usual error screen, but only for about 1/4 of a second, and then close.

When I use a waypoint/portal gun, and then use a gregtech machine, it will freeze, and pop up with a message saying "Shutting Down Internal Server". It will freeze on this screen, and I'll have to go into task manager to close it.

I am playing single player, and usually on LAN (to enable teleportation.)

I don't use optifine or anything else.

My computer's specs, if this helps:

Intel Core i5 3210M @2.5Ghz (up to 3.1Ghz)

Intel HD 4000 Graphics with 512MB allocated VRAM.

8GB DDR3 RAM @1600Mhz

128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD

Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Java v7.0.250 (32 and 64 bit)

I also have problems where I can't see mobs on my minimap. Right now it's working fine, but sooner or later they will disappear, and I can't figure out how to make then reappear. All mobs are enabled on my settings page.

This is the most recent error log.

I've had the problem where most of the time I couldn't see mobs on the radar on Ultimate as well.

But how much RAM are you allocating your FTB Launcher? Also sometimes FTB wants to use the 32-bit version of Java instead of the 64-bit version for some reason. If that's the case, you'll only be able to allocate 1GB of RAM to FTB.

Also when the error screen pops up try "PrintScreening" it really quickly and paste it into Paint or Photoshop or GIMP or Paint.NET or whatever photo editing program you have, then upload it here.

Currently I've allocated 4.25GB of RAM to FTB.

I highly doubt I'd have the reaction time to take the screen shot. I have good reaction times, but it's gone before it's humanly possible to react.

I'm not sure if this was related or not, but I tried copying my world saves to a folder in My Documents so I could reinstall FML, and my computer blue screened. It hasn't done so since I installed my SSD early this year.

I should also note that I cannot even load my game anymore. When I try to open my world, it immediately goes to the "shutting down internal server" screen.

Using the .jar launcher, I was able to keep the window open and copy the crash information. These were created from a new world, but the result is exactly the same.

Hmm, seems somebody else posted recently having the same problem as you.

Seems to be something about IC2 and Living Entity spawning.

You would probably know more than I. I normally deal with Windows OS related issues, and not third party software. Not to mention I never really familiarized myself with Java. Hopefully this issue can be resolved though. It sucks not being able to play.

One thing I should mention, is that prior to receiving this new error, I updated Java to the newest version, 7.0.45. Whether or not this is a contributing factor is beyond me.

It seems like the more I try to fix the issue, the more problems come up. Now I cannot download any mod packs because it is refusing my connection. Other forums suggested setting my download location to automatic, but that's the only location mine has available to choose from, so that can't be the issue.

Maybe try redownloading the Launcher?

EDIT: Seems it was a bug with IC2. It's been fixed.

I just attempted to, and still I get the same result.

So after waiting nearly a week, and redownloading the launcher, everything seems to work now, including VoxelMaps and Gregtech compatibility. I'm hesitant to close this topic though, for fear the error will reappear when I do. I'll give it some time.

As I feared, I spoke too soon. It continues to crash.
