Update:

I have fixed the problem. All I did was update the LWJGL manually and it worked fine. Thanks for all the help. I hope others with the same problem can use this to help.

I have been playing on the Direwolf20 pack for a while now and had to delete and re-install it to fix a crashing issue.

when i try to launch the pack now it gives me an error and wont go any further. the buttons on the launcher all grey out leaving my only option to do a hard shut down of it. i don't have this problem with any of the other modpacks.

Error log:

please help. i have tried many times to redownload it and change the download location.

I'm not sure what the problem is but try force updating and if that doesn't work run the launcher as administrator by right clicking the launcher exe and click run as.

i have tried that. After force updating it stopped giving that error message but now it freezes up after it gets to the "mc= class net.minecraft.client.Minecraft" and all the buttons grey out. any ideas?

It almost looks as it's hanging before it would regularly start up the pack...

You might just want to delete all the files (except for your world file in [Ftb folder]/[Pack]/minecraft/saves) and re-download the launcher. Have you already tried that?

Edit: Also try restarting your computer.

Hmm... What's your computer stats? (Type, Ram, Memory, etc.)

Edit: Do you think you have a virus on your computer?

Minecraft can't find lwjgl for some reason. You could try copying the minecraft.jar file from one of the modpacks that does work into your Dw20 modpack.

They should be the same, but perhaps the dw20 is not working for some reason.

I went to do that and since i had last tried un/re- installing FTB i had only downloaded DW20 and i just downladed some other packs that had the same version of  minecraft but they are giving me the same problem.

also, Idk if this is the place to ask but my vanilla mc isnt launching either with:

Fatal Error 4: (null)

if anyone can help that would be great

thanks

If Vanilla isn't working, you might want ask on the vanilla minecraft forum, as you're likely to get more help there. Not there's anything wrong with the people here, just that there's a *lot* more people there, so more potential helpers.

I understand completely. I myself haven't touched vanilla in a long time either. But that said, I'd still recommend asking on the vanilla forums simply because there's more people who could help you there - it's just a means to an end. Presumably, once you get vanilla working, FTB will work again as well.
