To be able to handle traffic demands for the wiki, we're empoying several levels of caching. This is not always as easy for people who edit the wiki, as every cache doesn't refresh instantly. To work around this, registered users can now use http://nocache.ftbwiki.org to do editing. This subdomain has less caching in place, to ensure faster (instant, browser caching not included) refreshing when editing the wiki.

The domain is not accessible when you are not logged in on the domain itself! You can access it by logging in at http://nocache.ftbwi...ecial:UserLogin. Any nother page will redirect you to the main domain if you are not logged in.

I'm logged in to the nocache domain, am using it, works nicely, but sometimes it still gets cached up. For instance, I uploaded a TrainCraft Coal Dust picture, but I accidentally uploaded a 16x16 one. Then I worked on my Easy Steel tutorial, and noticed that, so I uploaded a 32x32 picture. I had to refresh it about 10 times (not exaggerating!) to get it to notice. I was definitely on nocache.ftbwiki.org. Ideas?

Thank you so much for this. I wasn't seeing my recent edits, and I was afraid I'd been hellbanned. With this I feel like reality is solid again.

Lol. Probably not, because it's still on the same domain.

I know a way that might, though...

I assume Windows 7 or 8 (might work with Vista) is the Operating System you are using.

Network and Sharing Center > Connections: Wi-Fi (Name of the wifi thing) > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4) > Properties > Use the following DNS server addresses:

  • Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4

Nevermind, I lost my job and won't be using my work computer anymore anyways so no worries on that.

They decided to go with a cheaper company to do my job.
