since we had our server updated to FTB direwolf 1.7 - 1.2.1

 we have been getting constant messages for mobs
i.e spiney spider fell out of the world

we have changed the CoFHcore script _

general {
    # Enable this to log when a block is dismantled.
    B:EnableDismantleLogging=false

    # Set to true to display death messages for any named entity.
    B:EnableGenericDeathMessage=false

    # Enable this to be informed of non-critical updates. You will still receive critical update notifications.
    B:EnableUpdateNotifications=false
}

but still the messages haunt us all.
anyone know anything?

This is caused by Thaumcraft, which adds the mobs causing the death messages. Try looking in the Thaumcraft config for a way to disable them.

1.6 modpack? Download Java 7 here. 1.7.10+? Download Java 8 here.

As a follow-up: using Blood Magic's Well of Suffering will apparently kill mobs with void damage, since any named mob it kills gets the "fell out of the world" message (unless disabled, as above).
