Is there a problem with my game or are there no deserts in direwolf20 packs? I have checked an area of 5000 by 5000 blocks and have not found one desert. Has anybody ever come across this before?

What Direwolf20 pack are you playing? The last 1.7.10? I recently tried some stuff with this pack, and there was always a desert in range. Do you use stock config files?

Are you using Biomes O Plenty, or default world generation?

It can be hard normally to just find one particular biome.

Yes, as I experienced with Absolute Zero D:

Well, if you need the actual dye to color something you can also use mystical green flower petals and grind them with a pestle and mortar. If you need sealant however, then you will be looking for a while if you are unlucky. Another option is to do mystcraft and make a desert dimension. And isn't there a way to make cactus with botania, as in throw the right object in a mana pool with a catalist beneath?

To create a cactus in Botania, you need to throw a Slimeball in a Mana Pool. I think you may need to have some upgrade to it, not sure.

Botania is a fairly new mod.
