Hi there,

i'm looking for quite the opposite. I want to search only the item names without any text in the tooltip or the mod name. E.g. searching for "craft" to get a list of all items which are probably related to crafting. It's a shame but I couldn't find any documentation about NEI. If somebody could help that would be great.

(If somebody got any recommendations for a nice replacement of the FZ pocket crafting table for the direwolf 1.7 pack, that would be great too!)

Thanks in advance.

(split from old thread)

NEI in 1.7 has a "search mode" setting in the NEI options menu. I haven't played around with it a lot (mostly because NEI search takes AGES for me) but it is possible that if you set it to "simple" it will only search names and not the rest of the tooltip.

Possible settings for "Search Mode" (located under the Inventory tab) are "Plain", "Extended" and "Regex". Neither of those help though, I tried that already.

Btw: Why is your NEI search taking so long?

If only I knew ;) Might be that newer NEI versions are faster, haven't tried using it in a while.
