Would a general 1.6, 1.7, etc discussion category be good?

Except, I can't make a post there, why not?

Forums.*confused* is it about the forums or the wiki?
Go to the link, imagine people posting AT that link and not the categories within that link.

I explicitly disabled posting for the version number superforums to avoid the problems we had with the previous Modpacks superforum. Here's the issue: if someone posts in the superforum, its new post light turns on. If someone posts in one of its subforums, both the subforum's AND the superforum's light turns on. Which means that if there are new posts in both the superforum and the subforums, you cannot tell that there are any in the superforum until you read all subforums. Which is just annoying to do.
We already have a Mods and General FTB Discussion section, if you want to discuss other modpacks or a specific "generation", you can do so in these two forums.
We could of course just set up a general Minecraft discussion section for anything not related to FTB.

lol sorry, I blame the lack of sleep and it being 6am
Just hit the mark all posts as read button.I explicitly disabled posting for the version number superforums to avoid the problems we had with the previous Modpacks superforum. Meh... Mods is for discussing mods and General FTB Discussion doesn't feel like it would fit the discussion. We already have a Mods and General FTB Discussion section, if you want to discuss other modpacks or a specific "generation", you can do so in these two forums.
I think that would work better, perhaps a general Vanilla Minecraft and a general modded Minecraft? We could of course just set up a general Minecraft discussion section for anything not related to FTB.

It marks ALL, not just the category you are in?That still means you'll miss the posts made in the superforum.

It marks all, but the point is you wouldn't see the new post if you just mark all as read.

Not in the category you don't seem to care about. It marks all, but the point is you wouldn't see the new post if you just mark all as read.
