Every time I choose a mudpack it loads and then quits out and I was given error code 5

Go to https://java.com/en/...load/manual.jsp and get the latest 64-bit version of Java 7. You currently only have 32-bit Java installed, which won't be sufficient for most packs.

i'm having problems with my launcher keeps giving me this if i try to play and modpack

That looks like a problem between Java and your graphics card. It may help to update your drivers, see this help article from Mojang for more info.
