When I play on my friend's server, I experience severe lag : My friends don't see me move, I can't open chest, Chunks don't load, etc, Weirdly enough, this lag only occurs on this modpack, I have tried other modpacks such as unleach and FTB skyblock. I can play the game just fine on single player.

 

I have already tried to maximise my Pc performance (allowing 4 Gb of Ram for minecraft, changing the options to maximise the performance, etc), I checked my internet connection and it was fine and of course, I tried deleting and dowloading the modpack again, Nothing is working. 

 

If anyone has any idea of what I should do, any help would be greatly appreciated.

This kind of lag is on the server's side, not yours. Do you know how much RAM the server has available? 2GB should be enough to run it fairly smoothly with a small number of players, but more is generally better.

The host allows 2 Gb of Ram for the server, but we already confirmed it was not the problem, there are other peope on the server and when I made my own server, people were experiencing the same lag I had.

 

I also forgot to talk about my computer's specs. I have an Asus laptop, 8Gb of Ram, intel i5 processor

So, then, it sounds like an Internet problem. Are you playing over WiFi or a wired connection? What's your connection speed?

I've got a downloading speed of 15 Mbps and uploading speed of 35. I have a ping of 29 ms. Althought my connection is not the quickest one, I can still play other mods. This problem only occured in this modpack.

I honestly am stumped. You have a pretty fast connection, the server is okay. Your laptop is fine. Perhaps the server has too much going on? What about other servers?
